In order to be successful in Kung Fu, Dre has to learn stretching his legs 180 degree (many believe that 180 degree position is vital for karate, kung fu). Dre couldnt do it after many attempts. Then Jackie tells him that there is always eternal energy moves inside us, it flows through our bodies and give us power from within. He encourages so that Dre Parker could do it.We all have an amazing power within us. We can harness our own power, and use it to strengthen ourselves, to lift our energy, and to create our lives.
Lesson 7:
Being Still and doing Nothing are two very different things
It looks simple but a very complex statement.Doing Nothing is being lazy or just turning on TV without sense & sensibility. While Being Still is focusing on our senses, noticing our breath in & out. It gives us peace, calm and eternal energy.
Lesson 8:
Anticipation is highly important. Dont see it, feel itDuring practice Dre didnt anticipate from where and how Jackies punches are rolling. He didnt observe the movement speed of the opponent.It is always important to anticipation others movements, actions and even the situation and contingencies because What does not make sense today will make sense in the future
Lesson 9:
Too much of something is not good even everybody needs break
Lesson 10:Jackie Chan in the end says, Dre you have taught me a very important lesson.
